Sharon’s Signers is local community sign language choir welcoming members of all abilities ages 14 to adult. Our sign choir includes individuals with varying disabilities along with neurotypical members. Members meet weekly to practice during the fall and spring sessions, working to put together shows for the public. After each practice our members share a snack and have social time to develop friendships in sign choir. Our signers come from both Lorain and Cuyahoga counties. During practice, parents have the option to relax and share during our parent support group or just enjoy a two-hour break. In our sign choir shows, our members sign to music while acting out a story. In addition to this, our sign choir members enjoy spending time together during outings, picnics, and seasonal parties. These especially enrich the lives of our members who would otherwise have limited access to these events.
We need photographers, videographers, ASL interpreters, and costume designers/ seamstresses to volunteer their time and talent.
We welcome tax deductible donations to help us continue to produce free shows for the public! We are also seeking venues to donate their space for our productions. Email Executive Director, Rebecca Miltenberger firstname.lastname@example.org
for more information.
Sharon's Signers is always looking for new venues to perform. Email email@example.com if your church, facility, or community would be interested in inviting Sharon's Signers to perform!
